South Plains End of March Roundup

Well March is almost over and I'm hoping the winds will die down some after this weekend. The temps are creeping higher ever so slowly and we should be frost free by this next week. I'm gonna make one of these threads at the end of each month so we can report our successes, failures, challenges that we've had each month.
This is my first month with a Square Foot Garden and although I haven't found the right grid making material for my taste yet I at least have some veggies growing and a few irises holding a square or two hostage hehe. I'm hoping to get another box made and filled tomorrow if the wind isn't too awful.
Y'all let us all know what's going on around your place. Anything new, interesting, Kewl...as my kids say...?

We're gonna hit 80 tomorrow... I'll believe it when I feel it. Fought with the chicken wire to get all the little babies bunny-proofed yesterday. Now we sit and wait, and hope it doesn't get too hot too fast. April 1 is our "official" last frost and its 93 the week after. Welcome to life in 7b.
Okra, corn and tomatoes going in during the next waxing moon.

Sounds like you have a good start over there in your region. Let the folks over there know too I'm guessing with the moon starting to wane we can get some root crops set in over the next few weeks also.

Couldn't be the hat. Maybe it's because you have stubble in your picture. Who would want that? (Note: this could by why my pic isn't up yet Wink )
