Got Territorial 2012, Johnny's, & Seed Savers all today. Got one from Jung last week...not sure how I feel about that. I signed up for seven or eight catalogs a few weeks back, but not Jung. I've never heard of them and definitely did not ask for it, so somebody sold my info. Mad

Several of the seed companies are actually owned by a parent company - Jung may be a 'brother' of one of the other seed companies you signed up for. I have had good success with the seeds and plants I have gotten from Jung.

I was waiting on Johnny's and got it along with 4 more catalogs, including Jung.

I'll wile away the winter nites thumbing thru them but have my first initial orders from 3 of them ready to go. I want to order early so they don't run out of the ones I want most.

I, too, received both Johnny's and Jung, neither of which I had requested. Now I wonder which of the seed companies I regularly use is connected with the above.....or, could it be my one-year subscription of Organic Gardening that was the source? BTW, Organic Gardening is a mere shadow of its former self, and I did not renew. Nonna.PapaVino

Nonna, I'm sorry to hear that about Organic Gardening.

Now, on to the good news....

I AM IN LOVE!!!!!!!!!!

I just got my Territorial Seeds catalog - this is my first time with them...OMG!!! I love it. Not to mention that they are the first catalog I have received that is made on recyclable paper but still uses color photos!

I love Territorial Seeds, and I am fortunate enough to live about 80 miles from their store. It also happens to be on my way to Eugene, OR and I shop in Eugene at least once a month (got to get my Trader Joe's fix)

As some of you may remember from last Spring, I am no longer permitted to go shopping at Territorial Seeds without adult supervision. I sort of get carried away Embarassed

There is a garden center I frequent that should require me being on a leash. Well, the garden center loves me not being on a leash - my DH and my bookkeeper? Maybe not so much!

I got my Territorial Seed catalog yesterday...and I'm still drooling Very Happy

Seeing as how this is my first year and I'm only going to be growing for myself, I especially appreciated their offering sample packets with fewer seeds so I can try them out in my quirky Albuquerque gardening conditions before going "whole hog", so to speak. And their cultural info is among the most thorough I've seen this year!!!

This made me have to go look it up. 142 miles for me, and way past the furthest I ever go into Oregon (I have a great aunt I visit occasionally in Keizer). I do remember passing through Cottage Grove once on a drive south with my husband years ago, and it looked like a darling little town. Lots of covered bridges (seven to be exact!).

I love the information they provide. Especially useful to those of us in the PNW where we have to be very selective about trying to grow varieties of warm weather plants in a cool weather climate (though that has not stopped me from trying those varieties my extension service says won't grow here - and they are usually right)

I received my Territorial Seed Winter 2012 catalog yesterday. It has suggestion list of what to sow in July, August and September on the front cover. There is also a nice hard copy Winter Gardening Planting Chart on page 4 that covers May through October. Happy reading everyone!

Enthusiastically waiving arm in air: "Me, too; me, too!" Got the new Winter Territorial Seed Co. catalog. Think I'll definitely order the new early hardneck garlic" Cascade Rose--such a bummer to spend last of spring time digging out green sprouts of garlic cloves before cooking with them! I want to set Cascade Rose head to head with Chinese Pink to see which performs first and best. We've decided to make the greenhouse more useful for extended seasons. The new catalog should help....I hope. Right now, it's planted with tender sweet melons and okra (you should have seen Oregon native PapaVino roll his eyes).

I lived in Oregon for year and was never able to find Territorial seeds, now as a tourist, the only way I can buy territorial seeds would be to visit their store.
Has anyone been there.
I followed the map and wondered if it was perhaps just a postal address because there was nothing there.

I live in Canada and am going to ORegon in July and would love to visit territorial seeds.

Anyone else anticipating seed catalog season? Cool I find myself sheepishly pawing through all the junk mail, knowing there's nothing there yet, but with a small glimmer of hope nonetheless tongue
The time is coming though, and soon! Who else can't wait? What new catalogs have you signed up for? I think it's time to get this ball a rollin!

It's been shooting season here for the cats for the last couple of months .
I tend to keep getting emails from whoever I seed or plants from after I buy online .

Not only do I get annual or main seasonal cats in the post . I'm also starting to get spring ,summer ,autumn & winter specials consisting of eight or ten sheets in booklet form telling me of the latest , most expensive things as well as clearance offers . All of which tend to be far more expensive than going to a local garden centre as a small diversion from a route I'm travelling .
