Fabulous? What if that's all I get? Sad

There are Russian Teacakes, and the horseshoe thingies with pecans that usually get powder sugared but this year got a glaze, fudge of course, Tollhouse is always a must, there's her German mom's favorite gigaschnaiuserwhatever with the melt in your mouth paper on the bottom, and the thumbprint things with kisses on them. I don't know what the stuff was she took with her.

Can you tell I don't bake?!

Mine is the humble safety swing blade peeler with the peeling / cutting edges slot in the inside/ middle of the blade .

Second is the two stainless steel pressure cookers I'd/we'd be lost without them

My newest favorite gadget is the Microwave Eggs 'n Muffin Breakfast Pan by Nordic Ware:



I have purchased a couple of gadgets over the years for the purpose of making breakfast sandwiches and I'm so glad I tried one more because this one works perfectly and easily.

Bonus: I found that the Walmart pre-cooked sausage patties are also english muffin size, and I cook one right in with the egg. 90 seconds and it's done and it's hot enough to melt some cheese on top. Scramble the egg with a bit of water in a separate container instead of directly in the pan, and it comes out cleanly every time.

gwennifer, that is actually pretty neat. My kids eat lots of eggs and my wife is always struggling in the mornings battling to get their chores done and fed before school. This looks like it could be a handy device for her. More details! Very Happy

Well NR, I'm glad I piqued your interest but there's not much else to tell! Let's see, it costs about five bucks... I think I picked it up at Bed Bath & Beyond, but I can't remember for sure...

I made four breakfast sandwiches with it the first day I used it. I cracked four eggs in a bowl, added four tablespoons of water, and stirred them up. I filled the lower half about 1/3rd of the way with the egg stuff, added a frozen sausage patty, flipped the lid closed and nuked it for 90 seconds. If you're toasting an english muffin, get that started first because it takes longer. Flip the cooked egg and sausage onto one half of your bread of choice, add a slice of cheese, put the other half of the muffin on top. Done. Put more egg mixture into the pan and repeat.

You don't need to wash it between batches; you don't need to grease it; I bet you could have two of them going at once in the microwave too, to save even more time if you wanted. Does that help?

My absolute favorite is the Slice-Pro Kitchen Cutter

You can't really tell by the picture but it's a thin, sharp blade on top and a "cutting board" at the bottom. You can hold your carrot or other veggie over the salad bowl and slice away.

This is what I gave as Christmas gifts a few years ago and everyone loved it.

Chopping

Do most of you chop all your veggies by hand?? I have great knives but with all the goodies from my 1st SFG, I'm spending a LOT of time at the cutting board. Does anyone use a food processor? Recommendations on the best type? I'm especially interested in chopping ingredients for salsa. Thanks!
