Eco Wood Treatment for raised beds

Post  yolos on 12/15/2011, 8:56 pm

Does anyone know anything about this product (Eco Wood Treatment) or has anyone used it. It is for treating wood against rot. I have been researching the best product to use to extend the life of my Pine 2x10x xx raised beds. Mel mentioned linseed oil. But the only kind of linseed oil sold around here is boiled linseed oil and that has many additives. Nobody seems to sell raw linseed oil. And I still do not want to use pressure treated lumber.

Website for this wood treatment is www.ecowoodtreatment.com

Looks pretty good to me. What do you think of this product ??

Linseed oil(not boiled) is difficult to find. You'd probably have to order it online, or try a real lumberyard(if you can find any these days...). New pressure treated lumber is safe, but I understand any hesitation in using it. A quick search shows that you can get it for around $20 online.
