Evolution of a compost pile

Post  tomperrin on 1/21/2012, 8:48 pm

The pile now consists of:
1. mulched tree leaves
2. horse manure
3. sawdust
4. wood chips
5. chicken manure
6. straw.
7. kitchen veggie scraps, coffee grounds.

thus qualifying for inclusion in the Mel's Mix formula even though they are not in equal proportions. It's much easier to add the components at the start of the composting process than it is to mix bags of various kinds of compost together.
